  • Ages: 3-5 Years

For Children Ages 3–5 on the Autism Spectrum (Pre-Kindergarten) This supportive small-group class is thoughtfully designed for young children with autism ages 3–5 who are not yet in kindergarten. Through sensory exploration, movement activities, music, play, and connection, children will be invited to engage at their own pace in a warm, welcoming, and neurodiversity-affirming environment. Facilitated by Virginia Blum, a School Psychologist, Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Teacher (MBSR) with experience facilitating mindful parenting classes for parents of children on the Autism spectrum, this class is rooted in an understanding of child development, regulation, sensory needs, and relationship-based support. Each class will incorporate movement, sensory experiences, play-based interaction, and opportunities to build comfort with routines, communication, social engagement, and self-expression — all while honoring each child’s individual strengths, needs, and sensory profile. Our goal is to create a calm, joyful, and supportive space where children and caregivers feel safe, connected, and celebrated. Class may include: • Sensory-rich play experiences • Music and movement activities • Gross motor exploration • Simple routines and transitions • Opportunities for social connection and communication • Caregiver participation and support • Small group setting for individualized attention This class is designed to meet children where they are and celebrate every step forward.
